Usage
Retardan®-2010 P provides excellent performance in the adjustment of setting time and workability of calcium sulphate binders, especially in neutral to slightly alkaline α- and β- Hemihydrate binders. The product is especially suitable and designed for the following applications:- Gypsum patty and gypsum joint filler
- Production of finest moulding and modelling plaster
- For plaster application where working to feather edge is critical

Application
Compatibility
Retardan®-2010 P may be combined with many other Sika products and most commonly used gypsum additives including superplasticizers, foaming agents / defoamers and stabilizers. In these combinations i.e. with Sika® ViscoCrete® superplasticizers, additional improvements in flow and setting-time adjustment can also be achieved.
Note: Always conduct trials before combining products in specific mixes and contact our Technical Services Department for additional information about specific combinations with other products.
Dispensing
The product is added directly to the dry-mix.
Recommended dosage
Typical dosage rage: 0.01 % - 0.2 % of dry weight.
Differences in calcium sulfate binder type, raw material sources, calcining methods, age and storage conditions of the binder and other conditions and factors at the plant and/or on-site can also influence the setting time of gypsum binders and therefore the dosage requirements of Retardan®-2010 P.
