SikaRapid®-825 P

SikaRapid®-825 P is a CE-marked hardening accelerator in powder form for cementitious dry mortar and concrete. SikaRapid®-825 P develops beginning after 6-8 hours higher strength also at low temperatures.

SikaRapid®-825 P provides the following advantages through accelerated hardening of mortar / concrete starting within 6-8 hours depending on mix design, fresh mortar temperature and curing conditions:
  • workability time 30 – 60 min
  • at 20° C after 24 hours ≥ 120% of control mix
  • at 5° C after 48 hours ≥ 130% of control mix
  • significant higher strength compared to control mix
  • no significat influence on consistency at beginning
  • few loss of consistency over the first 30 min  
  • adjustable workability with e.g. SikaTard-810 P
SikaRapid®-825 P does not contain chlorides, nitrates or any other ingredients which promote the corrosion of steel. It is therefore suitable for use in reinforced and prestressed concrete structures.

Overview

Usage

SikaRapid®-825 P is especially suitable for any application where high early strength development plays a major role, or is of crucial importance within the first one or two days. SikaRapid®-825 P is used but is not limited for the following applications:
  • fixing mortars and grouts for fast loading
  • precast elements for early demoulding and fast removal
  • cementitious foam mortar
  • for clinker reduced dry mortars and concretes

Application

Compatibility

SikaRapid®-825 P may be combined with many other Sika products like Sika® ViscoCrete®. To adjust begin of setting, the addition of e.g. SikaTard®-810 P is recommended.
Note: Always conduct trials before combining products in specific mixes and contact Sika technical service for information and advice about any specific combinations.

Dispensing

SikaRapid®-825 P is added to the dry mix.

Recommended dosage

3 - 5 % by weight of cement (according to the target accelerating effect)
