Shrinkage reducing agent in powder form, low VOC

Low VOC shrinkage reducing agent for cementitious dry mortars.

SikaControl®-650 P SRA reduces the capillary tension of pore water, which is the main cause for drying shrinkage.
The benefits of SikaControl®-650 P SRA include, but are not limited to the following:

Usage

SikaControl®-650 P SRA is used in cement-based dry mortar systems to decrease the drying shrinkage and to reduce the risk of cracking. SikaControl®-650 P SRA also works against early shrinkage. The product is especially suitable for the following applications:
  • Non-shrink grouts
  • Dry concrete
  • Flowable screeds
  • Self-levelling underlayments (SLU)
  • Repair mortars

Shelf life

12 months shelf life from date of production if stored properly in undamaged, unopened, original sealed packaging.

Application

Application Information

Dispensing

SikaControl®-650 P SRA is added to the dry mix. In the case of fine-grain dry mortar mixes, ensure that there is enough mixing time in the dry mortar plant.

Compatibility

SikaControl®-650 P SRA may be combined with most existing redispersible powders, accelerators, retarders and other additives used in dry-mix applications. The efficiency of an air-entraining agent can be influenced by the noticeable defoaming effect.
Important: Always conduct trials before combining products in specific mix designs and contact our Technical Service Department for any additional information and advice concerning specific combinations with other products.
Consumption

Recommended dosage

Depending on the application the dosage range of SikaControl®-650 P SRA varies from 0.25 - 1.0 % on total dry mortar weight. At too high dosage, the mixture may lose some consistency. This can be compensated by adding a small amount of ViscoCrete.
