Retarder for cementitious and ternary systems in powder form

SikaTard®-810 P is an economical set retarder in powder form for cementitious and CAC-based ternary dry mortar systems.

SikaTard®-810 P retards the cement reaction with water.
The benefits of SikaTard®-810 P include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Good retarding effect depending on dosage
  • Relatively low effect on strength development
  • Slightly positive influence on consistency
  • Combinations with other retarders possible e.g. tartaric acid
  • Easy to dose with automatic dosage equipment

Usage

SikaTard®-810 P delivers exceptional results when adjusting the setting and processing time of accelerated and unaccelerated dry mortars and concrete. In some mortar systems, the consistency is improved and the flow behavior is supported.
The product is especially suitable for the following applications:
  • Dry concrete with long open times
  • Non-shrink grouts
  • Self-levelling underlayments (SLU) CAC-based
  • Repair mortars
  • Flowable cementitious screeds
  • Masonry mortar

Compatibility

SikaTard®-810 P may be combined with most existing redispersible powders, accelerators, retarders and other additives used in dry-mix applications.
Important: Always conduct trials before combining products in specific mix designs and contact our Technical Service Department for any additional information and advice concerning specific combinations with other products.

Dispensing

SikaTard®-810 P is added to the dry mix.
Consumption

Recommended dosage

Typical dosage rage: 0.2 - 0.9 % of binder weight. Differences in cement type, cement age and storage conditions of the binder and other conditions and factors at the plant and/or on-site can also influence the setting time and therefore the dosage requirements.
Note: Preliminary testing is required to determine the exact dosage for specific applications and conditions. Please contact our Technical Services Department for any additional information and assistance.
