Sika® ViscoCrete®-11 PowerPack MF

Superplasticizer compound for dry mortar as melamine replacement

Sika® ViscoCrete®-11 PowerPack MF is a powdery superplasticizer compound based on Sika® ViscoCrete® polycarboxylate polymer technology with excellent powder flowability, especially made for use in low emission cementitious and calcium sulphate based dry mortars.

Sika® ViscoCrete®-11 PowerPack MF adsorbs onto the particle surface of the binder. Due to a combination of electrostatic forces and steric repulsion effects, the solid particles can be effectively dispersed. The product has excellent powder flowability. The benefits include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Very good flowability and self-levelling behaviour
  • Easy to dose into the dry mix mortar
  • Reduced mixing times on the building site due to rapid adsorption
  • Long-term stability enables long slump life
  • Low influence onto the hydration
  • Stabilizing influence onto the screed mix
  • No additional air entrainment
  • Efficiency over a wide pH-range

Usage

Sika® ViscoCrete®-11 PowerPack MF is used in a dosage comparable to Melamine. Use in dry mortar industry with automatic dosage systems to produce:
  • Grouts
  • Dry concrete
  • Injection mortar
  • Cementitious screed
  • Dry mortar calcium sulphate flow screeds
  • Binder mixture for construction site flow screeds

Dispensing

Sika® ViscoCrete®-11 PowerPack MF is added to the dry mix. For optimum utilisation of the high water reduction we recommend a minimal wet mixing time of 30 seconds for mortar.

Compatibility

Sika® ViscoCrete®-11 PowerPack MF may be combined with many other Sika® Products as well as with most existing accelerators, retarders and other additives used in dry-mortar applications.
Important: Always conduct trials before combining products in specific mixes and contact our technical service for information about specific combinations with Sika products.
Consumption

Recommended dosage

Depending on the application and the anhydrite source, the dosage of Sika® ViscoCrete®-11 PowerPack MF varies from 0.30 to 2.0 % on the binder content. At high dosage or low temperatures Sika® ViscoCrete®-11 PowerPack MF could have a retarding effect.
