Sika® ViscoCrete®-31 PowerPack AS

Superplasticizer compound with anti-streak effect for high sand robustness

Sika® ViscoCrete®-31 PowerPack AS is a powdery superplasticizer compound based on Sika® ViscoCrete® Polycarboxylate-Polymer-Technology with anti-streak effect in view of high robustness for flowable dry mortar systems based on calciums sulphate or cement.

Sika® ViscoCrete®-31 PowerPack AS works based on a combination of electrostatic forces and steric repulsion effects. Thus, solid particles can be dispersed effectively. The special formulation of Sika® ViscoCrete®-31 PowerPack AS is reducing sreaks from particles very efficiently.
The benefits include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Very high robustness against particle washout
  • High water reduction at low dosage
  • Very good flowability and self-levelling behaviour

Usage

Sika® ViscoCrete®-31 PowerPack AS is suited for flowable dry mortar systems, which tend to wash out particles (soot, fly ash) from binder and or sand.
  • Dry mortar calcium sulphate flow screeds
  • Binder mixture for construction site flow screeds
  • Cementitious flowable mortar systems

Compatibility

Sika® ViscoCrete®-31 PowerPack AS may be combined with many other Sika® Products as well as with most existing accelerators, retarders and other additives used in dry-mortar applications. In combination i.e. with SikaTard®, improvements in flowability and processing time may be achieved.

Important: Always conduct trials before combining products in specific mixes and contact our technical service for information about specific combinations with Sika products.

Dispensing

Sika® ViscoCrete®-31 PowerPack AS is added to the dry mix. For optimum utilisation of the high water reduction we recommend a minimal wet mixing time of 30 seconds for mortar.
Consumption

Recommended dosage

Depending on the application, the dosage of Sika® ViscoCrete®-31 PowerPack AS varies from 0.1 to 0.3% of the binder content. At high dosage, Sika® ViscoCrete®-31 PowerPack AS can cause retardation as well as at low temperatures.
