Sika FastFix®-133 TP

Pavers, concrete blocks and setts joint mortar

Sika FastFix®-133 TP is a one component, ready to use, cementitious jointing mortar containing cement, selected aggregates and additives.

Usage

For joint grouting of pavers, concrete blocks, cobblestones, setts and paving flags in both trafficked and non-trafficked areas including:  
  • Squares, car parks, pedestrian streets
  • Lanes
  • Tramways
  • Gardens, sidewalks etc.

Application steps

MIXING

Pour ~ 3.75 l of water into a clean container. Progressively add Sika FastFix®-133 TP whilst mixing slowly to avoid the formation of lumps.

Mix at low speed (~300 rpm) until a fully homogeneous mix is achieved (at least 3 minutes).

 

APPLICATION

  1. Fill the joint to excess / overflowing.
  2. Remove excess material using a scrapper; clean the paviours / pavement with a low pressure water jet, taking care not to force out the fresh material in the joint.
  3. After full hardening of the material in the joint, finish the cleaning process using high pressure water jetting.

  
Note: Cleaning with high pressure water jetting, which also opens the surface, is then carried out between 5 to 24 hours after application.
 
Preliminary testing on a small scale is always advisable because of the many variable parameters such as weather conditions, contact duration, cleaning process, stone roughness etc.

The specifications of the ZTV-Wegebau must be observed.

CURING TREATMENT

Protect the fresh mortar from evaporation, rain and frost until the material has achieved its final setting / hardness.

 

CLEANING OF EQUIPMENT

Clean all tools and application equipment with water immediately after use. Hardened / cured material can only be mechanically removed.
