Sika® PowerPack-15 MF

Superplasticizer compound for low emission dry mortars

Sika® PowerPack-15 MF is a powdery superplasticizer compound based on Sika® ViscoCrete® polycarboxylate polymer technology especially made for use in low emission dry mortars, e.g. anhydrite flow screeds.

Usage

Sika® PowerPack-15 MF is formulated to replace Melamine for applications in anhydrite- and cementitious binder systems.  Sika® PowerPack-15 MF is used in a dosage comparable to Melamine.
Use in dry mortar industry to produce:
  • Dry mortar calcium sulphate flow screeds
  • Calcium sulphate binder mixture for ready mix and dry mix flow screeds
  • Grouts and other cementitious mortar systems
 

Advantages

Sika® PowerPack-15 MF works based on a combination of electrostatic forces and steric repulsion effects. Thus, solid particles can be effectively dispersed.

Application Information

Compatibility

Sika® PowerPack-15 MF may be combined with many other Sika® Products as well as with most existing accelerators, retarders and other additives used in dry-mortar applications.
Important: Always conduct trials before combining products in specific mixes and contact our technical service for information about specific combinations with Sika products.

Dispensing

Sika® PowerPack-15 MF is added to the dry mix. For optimum utilisation of the high water reduction we recommend a minimal wet mixing time of 30 seconds.
Consumption

Recommended dosage

Depending on the application and the anhydrite source, the dosage of Sika® PowerPack-15 MF varies from 0.35 to 2.5% on the binder content. At high dosage Sika® PowerPack-15 MF can cause retardation as well as at low temperatures.
