Sika® PowerPack-20 MF

Superplasticizer compound for Dry Motar

Sika® PowerPack-20 MF is a powdery superplasticizer compound based on Sika® ViscoCrete® polycarboxylate polymer technology especially made for use in low emission dry mortars to replace Melamine.

Usage

Sika® PowerPack-20 MF is used in a dosage comparable to Melamine.
Use in dry mortar industry to produce:
  • Ternary self-levelling underlayments (SLU)
  • Alpha-Hemihydrate  self-levelling underlayments (SLU)
  • Dry mortar calcium sulphate flow screeds (SLS)
  • Calcium sulphate binder mixture for on-site flow screeds
 

Advantages

Sika® PowerPack-20 MF works based on a combination of electrostatic forces and steric repulsion effects. Thus, solid particles can be effectively dispersed.

2 years shelf life from date of production if stored properly in undamaged, unopened, original sealed packaging.

Application

Application Information

Dispensing

Sika® PowerPack-20 MF is added to the dry mix. For optimum utilisation of the high water reduction we recommend a minimal wet mixing time of 30 seconds.

Compatibility

Sika® PowerPack-20 MF may be combined with many other Sika® Products as well as with most existing accelerators, retarders and other additives used in dry-mortar applications.
Important: Always conduct trials before combining products in specific mixes and contact our technical service for information about specific combinations with Sika products.
Consumption

Recommended dosage

Depending on application and anhydrite source, the dosage of Sika® PowerPack-20 MF varies from 0.25 to 2.0% on the binder content. At high dosage Sika® PowerPack-20 MF can cause retardation as well as at low temperatures.
