SikaScreed®-02 L

Compactability aid for earth-moist cement screeds

SikaScreed®-02 L increases the compactability of earth-moist to plastic consistency screed mortars and results in higher strength by introduction of air pores at the same time.

Usage

SikaScreed®-02 L is particularly suitable for:
  • Increase of compactability
  • Cement screeds with W/C-values of  0.50-0.60
  • Bonded screeds, on separating layer or insulation
  • Screed mortar for vibration tile method
  • Cement screeds with high final strength
  • Screeds for in- and outdoor

Compatibility

Before use, preliminary testing is required to determine the optimal dosage with the existing aggregates and cements. As part of this proficiency tests, the processing and technical characteristics of the screed mortar can be checked. High temperatures accelerate and low temperatures delay drying. During the drying phase adequate air exchange is to ensure.

Dispensing

SikaScreed®-02 L is added to the first gauging water (5-10 l) into the mixer. For optimal utilization of the liquefaction potential, we recommend a wet mixing time of 60 seconds before fine water dosage to avoid too soft consistency. The required mixing time after the addition is dependent from the mixer and must be long enough.
Consumption

Recommended dosage

0.2-0.6 % from cement weight; approx. 0.30 l each 50 kg cement
Formulation example CT-C25-F4:
50 kg cement (CEM II A-LL 32,5 R)
300 kg Screed sand  A/B 0-8 mm
approx. 12-15 l water (Take into account inherent moisture of the sand)
approx. 0.30 l SikaScreed® -02 L
The information refers to a 200 l screed mixing vessel and based on laboratory tests and experience. In unfavourable composed aggregates and deviating cements there may be difference strengths. After completion of the filling and closing of the mixing vessel, an additional mixing time must be maintained for 90 seconds.
