Sika is looking for an experienced Research Technician to join it’s growing team in Madison Heights, MI for our Automotive & Industry Business.

Research Technicians at Sika will play a key role in supporting specification and product maintenance. Working independently performing lab work the Research Technician will:

  • Independently developing test methods and driving routine specification and product maintenance testing.
  • They also work to solve mixing/equipment issues independently. and prepare results to present to customer with guidance.
  • Performing Lab work to support product maintenance
  • Assist DOE, DFMEA to facilitate transfer of new products into production
  • Assist in Pilot runs
  • Work on assigned projects independently
  • Understand equipment manual and is able to use equipment to its capabilities

Preferred Skills

Preferred Skills:

  • High School Diploma and 7+ years experiences in thermoplastics, thermosets in automotive OEM market or College degree in General Sciences
  • Good oral communication and writing skill
  • Good computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point or equivalent
